-Bite adjustments
It is common to need bite adjustment visits after getting veneers. The new teeth have been made more ideal which may feel odd or different with the bite. We do our best to make the bite as comfortable as possible, but sometimes patients will need a few visits to get the bite just right.
If the bite is off it can make it difficult to chew on a certain area, or make the teeth extra sensitive to temperatures.
All patients are welcome to return for these bite adjustments but for traveling patients sometimes it is easier to work with your local dentists to do these minor adjustments
-Laser gum contouring
- If we did laser gum contouring and you had a gummy smile and your gums have never just settled down or have stayed extremely puffy, red, and swollen and constantly bleed even after dental cleanings and good home care with brushing and flossing, you may have to see a local gum specialist or periodontist to resolve this issue on those specific areas.
-Root canal treatment
-if the teeth were severely crooked, or had large cavities or large fillings, there is a high chance of needing a root canal in the future. If a specific tooth is giving you severe pain and throbbing that is not relieved after several bite adjustments, we would recommend you see a root canal specialist or endodontist in your area for an evaluation.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns about your veneers, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
