What are the steps?
The first step is generally an evaluation or consultation to determine if the patient is a candidate and also to determine which exact gum lift procedure needs to be done to get the best results. Photos, X-rays, and measurements are taken at this visit.
The second step is the actual gum lift procedure.
The procedure takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the case.
For the Surgical Gum Lift, you generally have to wait a few weeks a few weeks for the gums to heal completely.
How much does it cost?
Genral Price Range.
$200 to $500 per tooth
Laser Gum Lift
$2,000 to $3,000 for 6 teeths
Surgical Gum Lift
~$5,000 for 10 teeths
Does It Hurt?
Generally, the patient is numb and comfortable during the process so there is no pain during the procedure. Depending on which procedure, the post op may vary. For example, if it’s a simple laser gum contouring, after the procedure it will feel sore and tender in the area similar to a hot coffee burn or pizza burn at the gum line. If it’s a surgical gum lift, we finish the procedure with sutures/ stiches and the gums will be sore, swollen and tender for a few days. Most patients just take over the counter tylenol or ibuprofen afterwards and are fine to return to work the next day.
